My Story
Style was never just about clothes. It was about freedom.
For years in my marriage my wardrobe was controlled.
Then our home caught fire. In an instant, everything we owned was gone.
I rebuilt my life with two young daughters, often wearing donated maternity clothes. It wasn't about fashion. It was about survival, strength, and showing up for them.
Over time, I realized getting dressed was one of the first ways I began to reclaim my voice. Every outfit became a small act of self-respect and a reminder that I was allowed to take up space again.
As I rebuilt my career in the capital markets in our nation's capital, Capital Closet was born. It isn't about luxury or labels. It's about dressing with intention, showing up with confidence, and believing every woman deserves the opportunity to define herself on her own terms.
My Philosophy
How we dress is how we choose to show up.
Professional style is more than appearance. It is one way we communicate confidence before we ever speak.
It is an investment in ourselves, a reflection of self-respect, and a reminder that how we choose to show up matters.
Whether you are walking into your first interview, returning to work, rebuilding after a difficult season, or simply redefining your own style, my hope is that Capital Closet reminds you confidence isn't something you buy. It is something you choose.
“Every woman deserves the opportunity to choose who she becomes.”
